Classy Croatia; a country worth visiting
To many, Croatia evokes images of sailing around the islands, kicking back and relaxing in the sun by day, and partying on the beach by night, but there’s actually a lot more to it than that. For those who want to explore the country, you’re rewarded with some of the most beautiful countryside in all of Europe, all the way from Rovinj in the west, right through Plitvice Lakes National Park, down to Dubrovnik in the east.
I spent a couple of weeks driving around the country, and I have to admit I was astounded at how diverse it was. The small fishing towns that are scattered along the coast really do take you back to local living, whereas the cities of Dubrovnik, Split and Zagreb have more than enough ancient sites to keep any history buff happy. Throw in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Plitvice Lakes National Park, as well as a few other national parks too, and you’ve got a classy country worth visiting.
Here’s my photo essay of Croatia. Hopefully I’ve captured some of the beauty of it…
